Amendments have been made to the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the "Regulations on Per Diem Allowances". These amendments have been in force since April 5, 2024.

Under the amendments, the portion of accommodation expenses, previously accounting for 80% of the daily per diem allowance within the country, has been reduced to 70%. Meanwhile, the portion covering daily expenses for meals, local transportation, communication, and other services has been increased from 20% to 30%.

In addition, the daily per diem allowance for travel within the country has been increased as follows:

• For Baku city: from 90 AZN to 125 AZN;
• For Nakhchivan city: from 70 AZN to 100 AZN;
• For Ganja and Sumgayit cities: from 70 AZN to 95 AZN;
• For other cities, district centers, urban-type settlements, and villages: from 65 AZN to 90 AZN.

At the same time, the daily additional payment to be provided instead of per diem allowances to employees of enterprises, institutions, and organizations who work continuously on the move, in shifts (rotational method), or in field conditions (where it is not possible to return to their permanent place of residence after the working day), has been increased from 15 AZN to 20 AZN.
